We learn to accept our lives and selves as they are, to have compassion for ourselves and the people we come into contact with and re-connect with our modern busy world with a sense of acceptance. On retreat, we are in a very protected place. This is why it is called retreat. But at some point we have to return from the retreat, to our busy lives. It is important that we then take what we have learnt back with us. On retreat we learn. By taking mindfulness back with us in to our lives, it is here that we make progress. Moment by moment.
